MIB M17 Helmet Air Vent

As this is the entry level helmet, the small hexagonal air vents at the top of the helmet are merely for styling purposes. You can open or close the air vent sliding switch; slide left to open and right to close. You can always leave the air vents open anyway, but the option is yours.

MIB M17 Helmet Styling

MIB M17 helmet has double contour design at the back of the helmet. The unique molding is so subtle that you might even missed them if you are not looking closely. MIB M17 Motorcycle Helmet Visor

MIB M17 helmet is fitted with a wide view visor. The motorcycle rider's peripheral vision is unobstructed when looking straight ahead. However the MIB M17 helmet visor is slightly shorter. When MIB M17 helmet visor is fully closed it can only reach the rider's mouth instead of the chin.

Advantage of wearing a open-face helmet is the unlimited forward visibility provided by the design. Better peripheral vision means more safety for the rider.

MIB M17 Visor Rotation Mechanism

MIB M17 helmet side plates has been outfitted with screws. This is a big disappointment when the fact that all new motorcycle helmets are equipped without side plates. It is truly rare to see a motorcycle helmet's visor fitted with screws on the side pods . It is definitely puzzling to think that the manufacturer transplant this feature straight from the past. Maybe one of the reason is low cost production.

The visor is held with friction via the screws on the side pods. Be forewarned that after prolonged periods of use, when the screws are loose you have to keep the face shield from dropping when you want it to be raised. The visor does not rotates smoothly up and down unlike helmets that are equipped without side plates.

MIB M17 Shell Construction

As with most of the motorcycle helmets in the market, MIB M17 helmet is made of ABS shell construction material. However since it has passed stringent PSB Singapore Safety Standards SS 9: 1992, it should provide the same level of protection as those made of fiberglass composite material.

MIB M17 Helmet Safety Standard

You will ride with a peace of mind knowing that MIB M17 motorcycle helmet has attained the "PSB TEST" label which is regulated by Singapore Traffic Police. However bear in mind that by wearing a PSB approved helmet, it does not mean that it will protect you from all risks and injuries. No motorcycle helmet can guarantee complete safety and protect the rider from all possible impacts, so please ride safely.

MIB M17 Helmet Lining

MIB M17 motorcycle helmet lining fully cover the EPS with a decent quality. There are mesh lining on either side at the top that keeps your head cool and comfortable. However the inner cheek pads and lining are non removable.
